Police Arrest 7-Year-Old on Dirt Bike

You know I thought I was just getting cynical, but I think the police really are different from what they used to be. This is the 3rd time I've read about a child being arrested, jailed, or brutalized who was under the age of 10.
Am I the only one who remembers when the policeman was "your friend."?.
